Private Rented Accommodation

Cardiff University accommodation is not the only option out there. You could look at private rented accommodation. The quality of accommodation can vary so take your time to view several different properties. Cathays is the popular student area but better quality of houses can be found if you are willing to look outside the Cathays area. There are plenty of letting agents in Cardiff ask around for recommendations. You might also find rooms for rent living with the home owner, these are normally maintained to a higher standard than agency properties.

Our Research has shown that the average price for shared accommodation in Cardiff is £73.30 per week.

Regularly take a look at our latest Student Accommodation Listing for some great deals or to  discuss any accommodation issues and make sure you use the Accommodation Checklist before looking at accommodation. You can also find good deals on rooms to rent in a shared house normally a lot cheaper than halls.

House Insurance

Don’t forget once you’ve decided on your Cardiff University accommodation to insurer your possessions, cutting corners are often counter productive. If things can go wrong then they will.
